Our glasses use two technologies in order to block the blue light, and the UV as well :)
1. The material itself of the lenses absorbs the blue light
2. The external surfaces have a coating that reflects the blue light, allowing our lenses to be more clear as if they were just blocking light through the raw material of the lenses
Our lenses block 40% of the Blue Light on the 430nm - 450nm spectrum, the harmful spectrum of the blue light ,and 100% of the Blue Light under 410nm (UV light), keeping your eyes more relaxed and comfortable while using digital devices in any kind of situation. Think of them as protective eyewear for digital professionals!
Yes! And please, use them. You won't only keep your eyes more relaxed, but you'll also fall asleep faster and have a deeper sleep. There are studies showing that blocking blue light from digital devices at night can help you increase 2 to 3 times more your melatonin levels.
The glasses shouldn't have any strength or magnification. Also, they are done with high quality organic CR-39 materials which avoid this kind of magnification.
Nevertheless, if you want to make sure there is no magnification on your lenses, please go to your closest optician and ask them to check if there is any prescription on the lenses. If that is the case, please let us know and we will exchange your glasses immediately.
This kind of magnification feeling that could happen to few people when starting to wear computer glasses could be done because when removing some part of the Blue color you get a different color contrast which you are not used to and it could cause this strange feeling.
If this is your case, it should happen only at the beginning, after a while, it should be all good ;)
Of course! We are a screen glasses company, therefore our lenses' choice for the clip-on is non-polarised solar lenses. It will allow you to see your digital devices in perfect conditions.
We recommend using the cleaning cloth provided (or similar) to remove lipids and moisture without smearing. If more intensive cleaning is required use lens cleaning spray without alcohol.
For the acetate frames, we recommend using the cleaning cloth provided (or similar) as well. If more intensive cleaning is required use water and soap with the microfiber.
